VSimRTI Workshop

Engineering Smart Mobility

2nd VSimRTI Workshop 2012

April, 27th 2012, Fraunhofer Forum, Berlin.

Large scale assessment of mobile applications

Smart Mobility applications run on numerous platforms ranging from in-vehicle systems to smart phones. They aspire to increase driving comfort, time and traffic efficiency and safety through cooperation between drivers and travelers. Assessing the expected impacts is crucial to detect the technical and economic challenges for operating such applications at large scales.

Simulation environments such as VSimRTI are proved as a proper tool to study the interdependencies of application, traffic situation, and communication via 3G or ad-hoc networks such as 802.11p and for the validation of cooperative ITS.

The VSimRTI workshop provides an insight of how to setup and run simulations as well as discussions of state of the art methods and tools for assessment of Smart Mobility applications.

The program features industry and research experts presenting their success stories and newest research results and an introduction to the latest features of our VSimRTI simulation environment.
